Greetings to all of you! This last year has been a fairly hectic one, however, as summer wanes we have made a promise to try and actually maintain Will’s little blog and get back in touch with our friends and supporters out there in cyberspace.
Since Will works incessantly, you may be hearing the news through me more often than him, but feel free to direct any comments you have his way and I’ll make certain that he hears them and responds if he or you would like.
This autumn we’re looking forward with much excitement to our first sojourn to Spain! We’ll be based in Madrid in a hotel just across the plaza from The Prado Museum where we plan to spend many hours ogling the work of Goya, Velasquez, et al. From Madrid we also plan day trips to Toledo, Segovia, and Avila. And, of course, we look forward with great anticipation to the culinary delights that city has to offer. We’re hoping to meet up with Javier, our friend and customer from Bilbao, who's an avid pipe enthusiast. In our recent travels to Italy, France, and Belgium significant highlights have been meeting, and meeting up with, our brother and sister pipers from abroad. What a special group of people they have all proved to be without exception as, from my experience, are the folks in the pipe community here at home. I feel so privileged to be a pipe maker’s wife!
Many of you will know Spain, in particular the Madrid area, far better then we and we’d welcome any advice, suggestions, destinations or foods not to be missed, or other comments any of you might have. In the meantime, keep on luxuriating in all the joys the briar and leaf has to offer. Un abrazo, Georgia

Is Will going to start a Spanish Series of pipes carved while in Spain?
Thanks for asking. I never know what he's going to come up with. Each of our trips to Rome produced a Roma pipe, and last year's tadpole came from Paris. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes up with an inspiration from Madrid!
