public smoking in Boulder

Happily, Will and I have found a place where we can actually have a beer AND a cigarette, cigar, or pipe in a Boulder eatery! This is somewhat astonishing since Boulder was one of the earlier cities to ban smoking across the board in public places. The law actually bans smoking outside within 15 yards of any public entrance; however, most restaurants still don't allow smoking anywhere on their premises except, that is, for the Dark Horse!

The Dark Horse has been around since the early 70's and was one of the first places Will worked as a part time cook his senior year in high school. It's also the place where we get together with his old buddies from those days about once a year and so is filled with memories of good times. We're delighted to see that the good times will continue to roll on there for those of us who still enjoy a good smoke once in awhile! Bravo, old Horse!
